Murder and rape couple sentenced to death, life imprisonment (6/10)

The Jiamusi Intermediate People's Court of northeast China's Heilongjiang province sentenced Bai Yunjiang and her wife Tan Beibei to death and life imprisonment respectively in a rape and murder case on Monday, June 16, 2014. The couple lured a teenager to their house, raped and killed her last July. Tan, who was pregnant at the time of the murder, gave birth to a boy on August 6, 2013. The child has been sent to a local welfare center, after the couple and their relatives gave up custody.
