An artist shows Banyao kite (ban means board and yao means snipe), a kind of traditional whistle kite in China's Jiangsu province that features elegant shape, exquisite craftsmanship and unique acoustic effect, at a presentation meeting in Beijing on June 11, 2014. The event is held for the upcoming Smithsonian Folklife Festival which is to be held in the National Mall in Washington, US. From June 25-29 and July 2-6, the festival, which is free and usually draws over one million visitors each year, will present living traditions of China. [Photo: China News Service / Du Yang]
