China's ID card sees a new ethnic group category - Chuanqing (1/3)

China is officially composed of 56 ethnic groups (55 minorities plus the dominant Han). In addition to these ethnic minority groups, there are some who are not officially recognized . The Chuanqing view themselves as a distinct people group, although they speak a Chinese language and historically belong to the Han race.
