Yu'er Hutong is a 343-meter-long hutong located in the northwest of Dongcheng District, Beijing. On Feb 25, 2014, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a visit to the alleyway when he was inspecting Nanluoguxiang Hutong area, a popular tourist spot famous for its boutiques, snack shops and bars. Yu'er Hutong stretches from Nanluoguxiang in the east and ends at Dongbuyaqiao Hutong in the west. Mao'er Hutong lies to its north and Suoyi Hutong to its south. It's home to the former residences of well-established Chinese painter Qi Baishi, Marshal Luo Ronghuan and General Su Yu. The Zhinian Banner Government, an official body of the Eight Banners during the Qing Dynasty, was located here. [File photo]
