Nearly one thousand performance artists gather at Ximending of Taipei on August 31 to celebrate the opening of the 2013 Taipei Fringe Festival, which will run from August 31 to September 15. This year the festival will stage over 400 performances at various venues around Taipei. [Photo/Liu Zhen]
