Spectacular scene at blasting site above barrier lake in SW China (5/6)

Workers place explosives at a blasting site above a barrier lake in Sanjiao Township of Hanyuan County, southwest China's Sichuan Province. The blasting is conducted to remove dangerous rocks and then dig channels to discharge the floodwater of the barrier lake. The lake was formed after a landslide and continuous rainfall, threatening residents downstream in Sichuan. (Xinhua/Xue Yubin)
