Awang Danda, 55, is an inheritor of the national-level intangible cultural heritage "Zhazha costumes" in Xizang Autonomous Region.

He first learnt Zhazha tailoring skills at 14, gradually mastering various processes including pulu weaving, dyeing, and sewing. He is dedicated to passing down this tradition.

The inheritor noted that because procedures like dyeing and wool selection are done entirely by hand, only five to six sets of Zhazha costumes are produced each year. Costumes crafted by artisans under his guidance are on display in museums in Beijing, Shannan, and Lhasa.
