We must revitalize multilateralism and perseverance with collective challenges: Ban Ki-moon

Ban Ki-moon, the 8th secretary-general of the United Nations and the chairman of the Boao Forum for Asia, delivered an online speech at the Lanting Forum with the theme of "The Global Security Initiative: China's Proposal For Solving Security Challenges" on Tuesday.

Ban Ki-moon demonstrated that the global crisis required cooperation and partnership. "In particular, the ongoing war and expanding conflict require holistic responses that are both timely and united," he said.

In the end, he called on the five permanent members of the UN Security Council to step on and play genuine leadership roles in maintaining international peace and security.
