Sports homework promoted in SE China's Fuzhou

(ECNS) -- Fuzhou in southeast China's Fujian Province dispatched a notice to encourage more exercise time at school and assign exercise homework in order to help youngsters keep fit.

It requires students to spend no less than one hour on physical exercises every day at or after school. Meanwhile, they proposed to gradually implement the sports homework system, encouraging schools to arrange specific sports homework according to the actual health conditions of students, in a bid to help them to develop lifelong habits for doing exercises.

Parents and students expressed their views on the proposal.
