(ECNS) -- China's large comprehensive emergency command vessel, Haishi 01, was put into service in Wuhan on Tuesday.

Sixty-five meters long and 11.8 meters wide, the vessel has a design speed of 30km/h and an endurance of 1,300 kilometers.

It is the largest and most advanced comprehensive emergency command vessel in China's inland waters.

The vessel will be on standby 24 hours a day to deal with major water emergencies immediately and ensure smooth and orderly navigation along Yangtze River.

The Yangtze River is the busiest inland waterway in China. It has ranked first in terms of inland waterway cargo volume in the world for many years.
