(ECNS) -- The Communist Party of China was born on a boat on Nanhu Lake in Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province in 1921. It is leading China toward the path of prosperity after a hundred years of striving.
Today's China is like a giant ship and the red boat -- "the birthplace of the Party” -- is of great significance both historically and now.
Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and president of China, has expounded the "Red Boat Spirit" on many occasions, to remind the whole Party to stay true to its original aspiration and mission.
"Only by staying true to our original aspiration, can we live up to history and our predecessors, win support from the people and times, and forge ahead with full efforts and be invincible," he said.
