American basketball superstar LeBron James has reached a four-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers worth about 154 million US dollars, according to his agency the Klutch Sports Group.
Shams Charania from Yahoo Sports said that James has the right to opt out of the contract in the final year. ESPN’s Bobby Marks wrote on Twitter that the Lakers will pay LeBron 35.65 million, 37.43 million, 39.21 million and 41 million dollars over the four years of the deal, but he does not enjoy a no-trade clause.
James, the four-time NBA MVP, three-time FMVP and “King” of the Cleveland Cavaliers, posted on Instagram “Thank you Northeast Ohio for an incredible 4 seasons. This will always be home.”
