World's first full scale wind tunnel laboratory opens in Guangzhou

(ECNS) -- The world's first "triple-in-one" wind tunnel laboratory for full-sized vehicles was launched at GAC Research Institute in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province on Friday.

Integrating aerodynamics, aeroacoustics, and thermodynamics, the laboratory enables the simulation of more complex environmental variables, thus expanding the range of experimental possibilities.

For instance, the fan system employs an axial-flow fan as the power source, composed of 16 carbon fiber blades with a diameter of 8.5 meters. 

The fan has a maximum power output of 2,200 kilowatts and maintains ultra-high control precision.
