The British government released a "No-Deal Readiness Report" Tuesday, which details the conditions British citizens and companies will face in the event of a no-deal Brexit and highlights the support and guidance have been provided by the government.

The report was released ahead of the statement by Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Michael Gove in the House of Commons on the same day.

The 155-page report also includes previously published contingency measures for a no-deal Brexit, but adds a new advice service to help suppliers of medical goods.

Commenting on the publication of the report, Adam Marshall, Director General of the British Chambers of Commerce said: "It's good that government has got its shoulder to the wheel, but it's going to have to push a lot harder to give businesses answers to the many complex and detailed questions they have in order to trade successfully in the event of an unwanted no-deal exit."

He noted business concern about an unwanted no-deal Brexit is rising, particularly given developments over recent days. He urged both Britain and European Union (EU) to redouble commitment and do everything in their power to avoid a no-deal Brexit.

Julian David, CEO of techUK, which represents around 850 companies in Britain's tech sector, said "techUK welcomes the release of the government's No-Deal Readiness Report which condenses the existing advice offered by the Government into a single document."

In a recent survey of techUK's membership, 71 percent of its members said that a no-deal Brexit would have a negative impact on their business.
