Six other people have been put under criminal coercive measures for the deadly chemical plant blast that killed 78 people in east China's Jiangsu Province in March, the local government announced on Saturday.

Earlier in April, three people had been put under criminal coercive measures related to the deadly blast and were believed to be responsible for the negligence.

Local authorities announced a decision to completely close the chemical industrial park in Xiangshui County on April 4.

The blast occurred on March 21 at a chemical facility named Jiangsu Tianyin Chemical Co., Ltd. in Chenjiagang Industrial Park, Yancheng City.

Local authorities also vow to continue further investigation into this deadly blast.
