Over 1,200 innovation projects showcased at China's national invention exhibition

(ECNS) -- More than 1,200 innovation projects are being showcased at the 30th National Invention Exhibition, which opened Wednesday in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, and runs through Friday, according to the China Association of Inventions.

The exhibition, which runs through Friday, features a newly established section highlighting more than 20 award-winning inventions in fields including aerospace, new energy, brain-computer interfaces, marine engineering, smart grids, new materials and advanced health care.

The event is also hosting the Belt and Road and BRICS Competition of Skills Development and Technology Innovation, which features competitions in intelligent manufacturing and artificial intelligence. Innovators from BRICS and Belt and Road countries are taking part.

The competition is aimed at promoting cross-border cooperation in digital technologies and smart manufacturing.

The exhibition also features project roadshows, matchmaking sessions and other activities designed to link research results with industrial demand and speed up commercialization.
