Financial service center for Taiwan compatriots opens in Hefei

(ECNS) -- A financial service station for Taiwan compatriots and young people was inaugurated Sunday in Hefei, Anhui Province, during an Anhui-Taiwan cooperation promotion meeting.

The station will provide services including account opening, cross-border settlement, currency exchange and credit consulting, as well as financing matchmaking, policy briefings and entrepreneurship activities.

The meeting also saw 36 cooperation projects signed, with total investment reaching 13.44 billion yuan (about $1.88 billion).

Taiwan businessperson Jiang Liyang, engaged in medical equipment manufacturing in Hefei, said the city's strong business environment, talent pool and financial support policies attracted his company. "The station is a reassuring guarantee for Taiwan compatriots and youth developing in Hefei, and we look forward to more targeted services," he said.
