(ECNS) -- China remained Germany’s largest trading partner in the first half of 2026, with bilateral trade reaching 125.5 billion euros ($146.8 billion), according to data released by the German Federal Statistical Office on Wednesday.
China was Germany’s largest trading partner for eight consecutive years from 2016 to 2023. The United States overtook China in 2024, before China regained the top position in 2025.
In the first half of 2026, the United States ranked second among Germany’s trading partners, with bilateral trade totaling 123.7 billion euros, followed by the Netherlands at 109.3 billion euros.
