Animals eat special dumplings to celebrate Spring Festival in S China's Hainan

Animals at Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park and Botanical Garden joined in the Spring Festival celebration on Wednesday in south China's Hainan Province.

The zoo came up with its own unique way to have the animals celebrate the Spring Festival that falls on Jan. 22 this year. Zoo keepers invited visitors to prepare special New Year dumplings for the animals. Carrots, bananas, watermelons and bamboo were all used as the filling.

Animals were treated with their favourite fruits and food inside the special dumplings.
