(ECNS) — Vietnam has introduced a trial visa-free policy for Chinese citizens traveling in groups of at least two to Khanh Hoa Province, allowing stays of up to 30 days, the Vietnam News Agency reported Tuesday.
The policy took effect on Oct. 12 and will remain in place through the end of 2027, according to a Vietnamese government resolution issued on Monday.
Eligible travelers must fly directly from mainland China to Cam Ranh International Airport in Khanh Hoa and book package tours organized by Vietnamese international travel agencies.
The policy applies to holders of valid ordinary Chinese passports, excluding those holding passports issued by China's Hong Kong or Macao special administrative regions. It is part of the 2026-2027 China-Vietnam Year of Tourism Cooperation, the report said.
