(ECNS) -- China's Tong Xin won the women's Taijiquan-Taijijian all-around gold medal at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Sunday, finishing with a combined score of 19.553 points.
Tong scored 9.770 points to top the taijiquan final before adding 9.783 points in the taijijian final, securing the overall title.
A longtime practitioner of tai chi, Tong began training at the age of six. She previously won the title at the Hangzhou Asian Games and took first place in the women's 42-form Taijijian at the fourth World Taijiquan Championships.
"I want to practice Tai chi throughout my life," Tong has said.
She has also emphasized that there are no shortcuts in martial arts like tai chi, while success comes from consistent practice and refinement day after day.
