Ningbo-Zhoushan Port handles 1.4-bln-metric tons of cargo in 2025

(ECNS) -- The Ningbo-Zhoushan Port in east China's Zhejiang Province saw 1.4 billion metric tons of cargo throughput in 2025, ranking first globally in terms of annual cargo throughput for the 17th consecutive year.

As a key hub of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, Ningbo-Zhoushan Port had developed 309 container shipping routes by the end of 2025, connecting more than 700 ports in over 200 countries and regions worldwide, with nearly 300 cargo vessels arriving and departing each day, the port said.

The port operates over 110 sea-rail intermodal routes, with cargo volume exceeding 2 million TEUs in 2025.
