(ECNS) -- China has decided to ban the export of all dual-use items to Japan's military and to other end users or purposes that would enhance Japan's military capabilities, according to an announcement released Tuesday by the Ministry of Commerce.
Organizations or individuals from any country or region that violate the above provisions by transferring or supplying relevant dual-use items originating from China to organizations or individuals in Japan will be held legally accountable, the ministry said.
The decision came in accordance with China's relevant laws and regulations to safeguard national security and interests as well as fulfill international obligations such as non-proliferation, the ministry stressed.
It noted that the Japanese leader recently made erroneous remarks regarding Taiwan, hinting at the possibility of military intervention in the Taiwan Strait.
Such comments interfered in China's internal affairs, seriously violated the one-China principle and are extremely egregious in nature and impact, the ministry said.
