China's EV charging points reach 24.78 mln by end-September

(ECNS) -- China had 24.777 million electric vehicle (EV) charging points by the end of September 2026, up 37.2% year on year, according to data released by the National Energy Administration on Thursday.

Public charging points totaled 5.207 million, up 16.3% year on year, with a combined rated power of 266 GW and an average rated power of about 51.10 kW per point.

Private charging points totaled 19.57 million, up 44.0% year on year, with a registered electricity capacity of 167 million GVA.
