The “One-Click Inventory” system was debugged at the Changxing Warehouse in Shuyang on Oct. 9. With this, all four registered warehouses of State Grid Suqian Power Supply Company have completed the functional transformation for “One-Click Inventory,” making it the first prefecture-level branch of State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co. Ltd. to achieve full coverage of the “One-Click Inventory” function across its warehouses.
Warehouse material inventory is a vital measure to ensure consistency between physical goods and accounting records and mitigate the risk of material loss. Traditional inventory checks at power warehouses rely heavily on manual work. The Changxing Warehouse in Shuyang, for example, maintains an average of about 200 inventory items.
A full manual inventory once took two days, incurring high labor and time costs. Developing warehouses with the “One-Click Inventory” function is a key initiative in State Grid Corp. of China for the digital upgrading of its material management sector in 2026.
At its core, each item is assigned a unique "“electronic ID card",,” namely an RFID electronic tag, to enable bulk electronic scanning verification for inbound and outbound materials. The RFID tag stores comprehensive information including material descriptions, batch numbers and stock quantities.
During daily inbound and outbound operations, warehouse keepers use handheld scanning terminals to quickly read and write data for materials with status changes, updating inventory information to ensure dynamic alignment of accounts, cards and physical goods.
For periodic inventory checks, administrators activate all active readers across the warehouse with one click on the backend computer. The system conducts bulk reading of all materials and compares the actual stock quantity against ledger records.
Tests show that the time required for a full inventory has been cut from two days to less than 10 minutes, representing an approximately 28-fold improvement in efficiency. The system carries out automatic two-way verification of ledgers and achieves a 100% accuracy rate for inventory data. Manual on-site operations in the warehouse are no longer required, and inventory checks can run concurrently with daily receiving and delivery operations without disruption.
