(ECNS) -- Three newly built vessels departed the Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River for sea trials in east China's Jiangsu Province on Thursday: the 274-meter container ship Xinyangzi 560, the 274.3-meter oil tanker Xinshidai Ziqiang 28 and the 228-meter oil tanker Xinshidai Ziqiang 27.
The vessels were built by two shipyards. The two 274-meter-class vessels, Xinyangzi 560 and Xinshidai Ziqiang 28, sailed out to sea one after the other.
To ensure safe passage, Jiangsu maritime authorities implemented staggered departures and traffic diversions, deploying maritime patrol boats on 15 sorties, along with 10 high-horsepower tugboats and three maintenance boats. Authorities also managed traffic around bridges and intersecting waterways, creating dedicated safe passage corridors for the large vessels.
