(ECNS) -- Chinese athlete Lin Xinyu won the women's individual triathlon at the Aichi–Nagoya Asian Games on Sunday, securing China's first gold in the event in 20 years.
Lin's victory marked a major breakthrough for China in the discipline, which last saw a Chinese champion two decades ago. Teammate Huang Anqi finished second to claim the silver medal, giving China a one-two finish.
