Over 95% of China's township, community health centers to offer pediatric care by year-end

(ECNS) -- More than 95% of China’s township health centers and community health service centers are expected to provide pediatric care by the end of 2026, Lei Haichao, head of the National Health Commission, said Monday. 

China plans to add pediatric services at 1,000 more such facilities this year, while 3,100 pediatricians have already been sent to work at primary-level healthcare institutions, Lei said at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office.
