China, Singapore to hold Exercise Cooperation-2026 joint maritime exercise in September

(ECNS) -- China-Singapore Exercise Cooperation-2026 joint maritime exercise is to be held near Zhanjiang in Guangdong Province in early September, the Ministry of National Defense announced on Thursday.

During the event, the two sides will conduct training on naval gunfire, replenishment at sea, and joint search and rescue, according to a statement released on the ministry's official WeChat account.

It aims to deepen bilateral trust, boost practical cooperation, and strengthen capabilities to safeguard regional peace and stability, the ministry said.
