Large-scale aircraft maintenance center completed at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport

(ECNS) -- The T3B aircraft maintenance project at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, constructed by China Railway First Group Co., Ltd., was officially completed on Tuesday and is expected to enter full operation soon.

The project covers 31,203.44 square meters, and comprises a maintenance hangar and auxiliary buildings, an office complex, a hazardous-materials warehouse for oil and chemical supplies, as well as supporting outdoor facilities.

The facility features a grid-shell hangar with a clear single span of 119 meters and a depth of 93 meters, creating more than 10,000 square meters of column-free space.

It can accommodate one wide-body aircraft and two narrow-body aircraft for maintenance at the same time. Weighing more than 1,800 metric tons, the hangar roof is equipped with intelligent operation and maintenance systems to enhance safety.

As Chongqing’s largest and most intelligent integrated aircraft-maintenance complex, the project’s completion marks a further upgrade in operational support capacity at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport.
