(ECNS) -- A group of medical workers from Mongolia’s Govi-Altai Province began a 14-day training program in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in Lanzhou, northwest China’s Gansu Province, on Monday.

The program, hosted by the Affiliated Hospital of Gansu University of Chinese Medicine, focuses on practical TCM techniques suitable for primary healthcare, including acupuncture and massage.

The trainees will combine classroom instruction with clinical training in departments such as acupuncture and rehabilitation. They will also learn traditional exercises including Baduanjin and Tai Chi.

The training program is part of the hospital’s ongoing efforts, as a national TCM service export base, to promote international cooperation in traditional medicine.
