The UNESCO World Heritage Committee approved expansion of Mount Wuyi on the World Heritage List, both natural and cultural, at a meeting in Poland, July 9, 2017. The mountains have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for cultural, scenic and biodiversity values since 1999.
