China an anchor of peace and stability in South China Sea issue: SCSPI director

China's South China Sea policy remains stable and China firmly defends its territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests, said Hu Bo, Research Professor and Director of the Center for Maritime Strategy Studies from Peking University, in an exclusive interview with China News Network.

Hu Bo, also Director of the South China Sea Strategic Situation Probing Initiative (SCSPI), added that in recent years, China has served as an anchor of peace and stability by carrying out practical cooperation with countries surrounding the South China Sea and offering international marine public goods. （Gan Tian）
