A lotus flower germinated from thousand-year-old seeds was in full bloom on Tuesday in the Lishui Museum, China's Zhejiang Province.
The seeds were excavated from the Song Dynasty (960-1279) strata of Qinhuai River in Nanjing and treasured by the Lishui Museum.
The lotus flower, with fourteen petals and yellow stamens, was delicate and charming. Another thousand-year-old lotus bud is about to bloom in 10 days.
