To greet the upcoming Chinese New Year, the Henan Museum in central China's Henan Province unveiled on Tuesday an exhibit on the cultural relics of 12 Chinese zodiac signs, which means the dozen symbolic animals associated with a 12-year cycle.
The exhibition featured nearly 200 sets of cultural relics and works of art in the museum. It was jointly displayed with the "Year of the Rabbit exhibition", which was the first whole collection of cultural relics of twelve Chinese zodiac signs.
As an important image symbol in Chinese traditional culture, the Chinese zodiac is the mascot of the Chinese Lunar New Year. The exhibition tells stories of Chinese zodiac through different types and ages of culture relics, and interprets the traditional Chinese zodiac culture from multiple perspectives.
