China's Long March-2C sends 9 satellites for autonomous cars into orbit

(ECNS) -- A Long March-2C carrier rocket carrying nine GeeSAT-1 satellites blasted off from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in SiChuan Province at 12:00 p.m. (BJT) on Thursday.

The satellites will provide more accurate navigation for autonomous vehicles.

This is the 422nd launch mission carried out by China's Long March rocket series.
