(ECNS) -- Starting from Wednesday, non-Hong Kong residents coming from Guangdong Province and Macao, upon fulfillment of all the specified conditions under the Come2hk Scheme, can be exempted from compulsory quarantine upon entry into Hong Kong.

Under this scheme, a quota of 2,000 is arranged everyday for online booking.

The Shenzhen Bay Port and the Hong Kong Port of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge have 1,000 each.

Some travelers said it was a great convenience when they crossed the border through the Come2hk Scheme and all the procedures went on smoothly.
