China's high-speed railways (HSRs) have made frequent headlines ever since the country decided to speed up its bullet train development.

At the China-Arab States Expo being held in Yinchuan of northwestern China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, train manufacturers present some of their best new models.

Mr. Nabil Jassem Al Midfa, the managing director of Knowledge Tech Systems from United Arab Emirates, says that the Chinese railway system is one of the most advanced and safe systems in the world, that Chinese manufacturers have very good experience in this sector and they will contribute to develop high speed railway systems in the Arab states.Starting in April 2007, China’s high-speed rail industry has experienced rapid growth, overcoming technological challenges brought on by conditions such as long distances, high population densities and inhospitable terrain.

China has the world's longest high-speed rail network with roughly 22,000 kilometers at the end of last year, accounting for more than 60 percent of the world's total.

China intends to extend the operational length of its high-speed railways to 30,000 kilometers by 2020. The network will cover more than 80 percent of the major cities in the country - And with the overseas marketing expanding, travelers in other countries will also enjoy the same level of comfort and convenience.
