(ECNS) -- The Beijing Winter Olympic Village in Yanqing is in trial operation. By applying advanced technologies, the village will be warm, green and high-tech.

The main structure of Yanqing Olympic Village uses ultra-low power technology for a comfortable environment by maintaining the indoor temperature between 20℃ and 26℃ and relative humidity between 30 percent and 60 percent. Besides, it also adopts passive house windows that have a lower heat transfer coefficient, perform better in thermal insulation, and consume less energy.

During the construction of the village, the surrounding natural environment has been preserved to the maximum extent. In addition, by building sunken greenbelts, infiltration ditches, and rainwater storage ponds, Yanqing Olympic Village can treat rainwater and sewage for recycling.

Three large screens have been put in the public area, where athletes can learn all kinds of information including about the healthy environment, security, and Village services. And even in athletes’ rooms, the beds are not only comfortable and strong but able to “transform”. With a remote, an athlete can adjust the bed for various demands like resting, reading, and watching TV.

With all technologies adopted, Yanqing Olympic Village will provide an ideal place for athletes to rest during Beijing Winter Olympic Games in 2022.
