(ECNS) -- China’s railway fixed-asset investment reached 511.8 billion yuan ($76.3 billion) in the first eight months of 2026, up 1.5% year on year, China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. said Wednesday.
Major railway projects also advanced. The Wenling-Yuhuan section of the Hangzhou-Taizhou High-Speed Railway opened in August, cutting the fastest rail journey between Hangzhou and Yuhuan down to 1 hour and 47 minutes.
