China's Wang Manyu wins women's singles title at WTT Europe Smash Sweden

(ECNS) -- Chinese table tennis player Wang Manyu won the women’s singles title at the WTT Europe Smash Sweden 2026 in Malmö on Sunday, defeating compatriot Wang Yidi 4-2 in the final.

The top-seeded Wang Manyu and Wang Yidi were among three Chinese players who reached the women’s singles semifinals, with the two advancing to the final after defeating Kuai Man and Japan’s Miwa Harimoto, respectively.

In the final, Wang Manyu took an early lead and held off Wang Yidi’s comeback to secure the victory.

Wang Manyu said after the match that maintaining focus and confidence helped her overcome challenges throughout the tournament and claim the title.

With her victory, China secured two titles at the WTT Europe Smash Sweden 2026, including the women’s singles and mixed doubles events.
