Inner Mongolia FTZ launches cattle and sheep trade alliance

(ECNS) -- A new alliance — the Cattle and Sheep International Sourcing and Sales Alliance — was established on Tuesday under the China (Inner Mongolia) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ), with 21 founding members from Shenzhen, Beijing, Chongqing and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, according to the region's commerce department.

Inner Mongolia is a major producer of green agricultural and livestock products in China, with its beef and mutton industry ranking among the region's most distinctive and competitive sectors.

Officially inaugurated in Hohhot on April 11, 2026, the China (Inner Mongolia) Pilot Free Trade Zone spans 119.74 square kilometers across three subzones located in Hohhot, Manzhouli and Erenhot.

Also on Tuesday, a cold-chain logistics warehouse serving Shenzhen Port was launched in Hohhot.
