(ECNS) -- The 2026 World Tennis Masters MT400 opened Wednesday in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, drawing nearly 1,000 tennis enthusiasts from Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas.
The five-day tournament covers five age groups — 30+, 40+, 50+, 55+ and 60+ — and four categories: men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
Matches would be held at Zhadagai Park’s tennis venue, which organizers said provides a professional competition environment.
According to Hohhot Municipal Bureau of Sports, the tournament is expected to boost local consumption in accommodation, catering, transport and tourism.
It will inject impetus into the integrated development of local sports, culture and tourism sectors.
