China reaches FIFA U-17 World Cup for first time in 21 years

(ECNS) -- China's under-17 men's team defeated Qatar 2-0 in the third-round Group B match in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday to advance to AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026.

China’s men’s team has also secured the place of FIFA U-17 World Cup again in 21 years since 2005.

China finished the group stage with one win and two losses, tied on three points with Qatar and Indonesia. The team advanced on goal difference, finishing on +1, edging out Qatar (0) and Indonesia (-1).
