The Hurun Global Rich list for 2018 includes 819 Chinese billionaires in dollar terms, a record high and up 216 from last year, according to a statement the Hurun Report sent to the Global Times on Wednesday.
The list includes 2,694 billionaires from 68 countries and regions and from 2,157 companies, the statement said.
Pony Ma Huateng, CEO of Tencent, tops the Chinese list with wealth valued at 295 billion yuan ($46.63 billion). His global ranking is No.15.
Ma is followed by Xu Jiayin, chairman of property developer Evergrande Group and Henderson Land chairman Lee Shau Kee, with wealth of 260 billion yuan and 215 billion yuan, respectively.
