Former Pakistan's Ambassador to China: Most impressed by Xizang, where infrastructure building is expensive but China made it happen

Former Pakistan's Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi, sat down for an exclusive interview with News Lounge of China News Network. During his tenure in China, he visited Xizang three times and Xinjiang nearly ten times. He met and talked with local residents face to face, witnessing the sound preservation of local culture.

He said that both Xizang and Xinjiang are very large areas, where building roads, providing access to water and electricity, and establishing internet connectivity are very expensive and challenging. Yet China has steadily advanced infrastructure development, improved power and water supply networks, built high-speed railways, and brought in high-quality educational resources.
