Former French envoy hails China as ancient, large and profound, calls for more people-to-people exchanges

In an interview with China News Network, Maurice Gourdault-Montagne, former Secretary General of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and French Ambassador to China, hailed China as ancient, large and profound, adding that understanding China takes time.

The former ambassador said he marvels at the knowhow of Chinese people regarding exploring and developing art.
