China's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security has launched a new program to help newly graduated college students and unemployed youth to land jobs by offering them employment information and guidance, skills training and enhanced working rights protection.

The ministry said the government program, which will run from July until December, will offer college graduates yet to land a job and other unemployed young people at least one session of employment policy explanation, one career guidance session, three job recommendations and one skills training or internship opportunity.

Government at all levels is expected to deliver on the promise of social insurance subsidies, tax reduction, skills training incentives and low-interest loans to companies and entrepreneurs. As part of the program, local authorities are to organize skills training and improvement programs and secure internship opportunities from companies.

The ministry has urged local authorities to tighten supervision over the job market and improve young people's awareness of self-protection when seeking jobs. In addition, the ministry will promote a batch of example youths who have devoted themselves to entrepreneurship or grassroots positions to demonstrate the vigorous spirit of Chinese youth.
