(ECNS) -- President of the Republic of Korea (ROK) Lee Jae Myung arrived in Beijing on Sunday afternoon, beginning his first state visit to China since taking office.
Lee landed at Beijing Capital International Airport to start a four-day visit until Wednesday.
Ahead of the trip, Lee reaffirmed in an interview with China Media Group that the ROK consistently respects the one-China principle.
During the visit, the leaders of the ROK and China will hold meetings in Beijing, according to CCTV News. This will be their second meeting following their talks in November 2025 on the sidelines of the 32nd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Gyeongju, ROK.
Reports show that a delegation comprising 200 ROK business leaders accompanied Lee on his visit to China.
