(ECNS) – The recently concluded Central Economic Work Conference held in Beijing emphasized the need to promote deep integration of technological innovation with industrial innovation.
This involves the establishment of regional sci-tech innovation centers and "AI+" applications, as well as the upgrade of key industrial chains in fields including service sector and emerging industries.
Chen Zhao, a professor at the School of Economics at Fudan University, told China News Network that private enterprises play an irreplaceable role in implementing these policies.
He said that creating a sound institutional environment for private enterprises should be seen as a key lever for implementing these policies. This includes not only upholding comprehensive rule of law but also helping people develop proper social values regarding private enterprises, entrepreneurs, and the wealth they generate.
Private enterprises have long been a major driver of China's economic growth. The conference stressed improving regulations and policies supporting private enterprises, with the aim of strengthening innovation capacity and high-quality growth in the private sector.
